So there’s a fair bit to talk about right now so I shall try and keep it short and sweet…

As you may remember my last post was about the release of my game Oran which I am extremely pleased to say managed to nail over 3 million plays within 2 months of being released! I am also proud to say that both my games Viridia and Astronaut 1337 crossed the 2 millions plays mark around the same time!

Onto upcoming stuff… I currently have SEVEN games completed and awaiting release, I am just trying to get them sponsored =] So there should be a lot more stuff for you guys to enjoy very soon, and a lot more money in my pockets. One of the most exciting games ready for release is Viridia 2, featuring new enemies, MUCH larger levels and the ability for the player to control vehicles! Keep your eyes peeled folks!

I am also just about to start work on another game in the Purplenum/Oran/Viridia type series; “Skyly” which should be done without too much delay =D

Whilst speaking to other developers and webmasters I have also found that my ad revenue earnings from the website are far far lower than they should be so I will be experimenting with new ad positions over the next few days… so don’t get scared if the site ends up looking a little bit ugly, it will all be sorted out =]

OH and btw, the reason there hasn’t been new games on the site or blog updates for a while is because I was in Ayia Napa for 6 weeks… and would like to go back now please? =[

1 year, 5 months and 1 day since the release of Purplenum: Survival 2 comes the sequel, Purplenum: Survival 3! The new game has a completely different genre to the previous games, taking the form of a turret defence game. Quite possibly my best game to date, although I have a few others finished and *still* awaiting sponsorship.

Anyways I got a lot of sponsorship money for this which (although a large amount has already been spent) I will be putting a fair bit towards OmgLasersPewPew.com advertising.

I have a couple of games waiting to be released that I cannot show you yet, including a top-down shooter named Bosley and a platformer named Oran.

Also keep your eyes peeled for a completely new range of items in the shop. I will be scrapping all the old stuff for new t-shirts, new keyrings, new posters and more! Also the release of a new website is coming soon although I shall be keeping all further information a secret for now just to keep you all guessing.

So if people are wondering what’s taking my new game so long to be released… it’s sponsors. I had a sponsor (king.com) who offered me $1,200 up-front sponsorship, then +$1,000 for the first million views and +$2,000 for the second million views… but then everything fell apart and I’m now without a sponsor.

I also finished another game in the summer called Purplenum: Survival 3 which has had some amazing offers and should be up within the next week if the sponsors will hurry up and reply to me!

As you can all tell the site redesign is finished and has been for a few weeks now. There may still be some minor tweaks but it’s pretty much finished.

I will be doing some merchandise giveaways very soon. Probably giving away a large amount of stickers and keyrings for free and the odd t-shirt (I am still designing more t-shirts so keep your eyes peeled).

I also have a new platformer in the making… I cannot say much but it’s going to be quite a simple yet fun game. Nothing too amazing but I’m sure everyone will still enjoy it.
